My Peaches just came in!

    Well, my Peaches finally came in. Everything is running almost a month late this year!
    Not my biggest by far, but better that the zero I got last year!
    This is whats left after what the critters and bugs got!


    Managed to get a few nice ones though.





    These are all going into Jam. In a good year I'll also can whole peach halves and maybe get a pie or cobbler.

    Now the real work begins, pealing and pitting.

    All done!!! Got 20 1/2 pints of jam


    Now just have to label and store. This might hold me fo a few months.

    Peach jam..... Ummmm  good......  and I notice you have one jar you can start on today.....   that's even better.....

    And for desert, I s'pose we can see it on ice cream too.....  lol

    Oh yummm!  Love peach cobbler.  Looks wonderful....bet the house smelled good too!

    Oooohhhhhh you betcha!! Warm the jam up and put over some good Vanilla ice cream. :drool Some years I have problems with getting a good set on it. This year all seems to have gone well, all jars have set. Peaches seem to be tempramental about that as they have little natural pectin. So I end up with compote basically. But it works well on ice cream and in glazes and finishing sauces........It's all Goooood! Thumbs Up
