My new smoker arrives tomorrow!!!

Well just checked with Fed Ex and my Smoke Vault will be here tomorrow.  I want to thank everyone for the help with my questions so far.  But just one more for now!!  Any suggestions on seasoning it??  I want to make sure I do it right the first time.

Congratulations on getting your Smoker.  When I got mine, I rendered down some bacon fat and brushed all of the surfaces of my smoker witth it.  (Others have used PAM or lard to season their Smokers.) Then I  turn on the burner and took the temp in the Smoker to 220 degrees and left the smoker on for 2 hours.  It worked for me.

Congrats on the new smoker tomorrow. Believe me you will just love the smoker I did. You have made one of the best decisions of your life but not as good as the one of picking your wife. (that's in case she's standing over your shoulder) But you will love then smokers.

What he said will do the trick, if you have any doubts... let it smoke for 3 hours. You really can't mess up a first seasoning, it's not like you have to clean it and start over. It's all good my friend.
