Great looking build. Not sure about the graffiti.....but the whole setup looks great!

ok so I am once again putting this on my list, my big build has falling through and want to get back to using wood and charcoal....

need some experienced insight. I am trying to decide on model and size. I like the compact size of the mini Joes, but am looking at the Jumbo Joe....any thoughts or experiance with any or both? If it is mini to go with what is better gold or silver?

Sorry for the slight hijack.......

I made a top sirloin on this bad boy. Gonna be smoking a pork loin tomorrow!

Yea i made the Jumbo Joe into a mini.....i have a build thread on it somewhere on here, i can find it.  Also the gold is the best mini but some disagree.  I like the gold just because it doesn't take any modification to work good.

Yea you saw that thread.  You should build one, it's been a fantastic smoker.  I still haven't seen anyone else build one yet...think i'll do a video on it once i get a new video camera.

From my experience, the mini is really the perfect size for my family of four. For the type of camping we like to do ( small boats loading with camping gear to get to the campsites) it perfect. If I was cooking for a few more and had a bigger boat maybe the jumbo would be what I need. The cost of the mini is quite a bit less. With the vasconia pot at $20 right now at Wally World and the silver @ $29, ya can't go wrong!

Thank you guys. I will move to the jumbo thread for those questions. But one more about the silver and gold. I get the cost differences, but what diffrent mods need to be made between the two models. That might be a question more then myslf will have after reading this. I look at cost vs.extra work when deciding on the road to take.

Ok one more .... does the diffrent air take make a difference?

Jeremy.. FOR ME.. I have the silver and use the ash pan ... it does everything you ask of it... I don't see the need to mod the gold with extra air vents...

The ham is smoking away with some pineapple juice in the water pan. I will glaze with an hr. left. Supposed to be sunny and 74 today!

Trying out coleman pop up canopy I got for camping. Good size and came with a screen to keep the bugs out...It went up in 5 min with no help. If you are looking for one it seems very nice...

Spiral so I put some butchers twine on it.

Injected with pineapple juice and brown sugar.

Just put on pineapple and sugar glaze.
