I am new to this site so forgive me if I'm in the wrong area to ask this.My grill is a Brinkmann Grill King Delux Heavy Duty Charcoal Grill&Smoker. My neighbor put it to the street after it was full of ash.I rescued it and have used it for the last eight years. Not only does it smoke great it also grills awesome. The problem is that it is starting to have issues. No parts are avaiable through Brinkmann.I would buy another one in a minute but no longer available.I have looked at lowes-Home Depot and such and all the charcoal grills seem very cheap. What grill smoker would you guys suggest.Any help would be great.

Trying to stay around 300.00.I know that's tough but times are a little slow for me.

Can you restore the one you have.

I know you said parts are hard to come by but maybe you can mod it.

As Squib says , a re-build would be very much cheaper (especially if you go to a "Scrap Yard" and find Metal there)... possibly part s from another one like yours but a good Scavenge.

A little Head and Tail scratching will bring a lot of ideas... I'm cheap(because I'm broke ) and do all the searching I can , keeps me busy too. I tend to get in trouble easily,

Like the others mentioned, I'd advise looking into repairing the one you have.  You'll find that, if you shop for a new smoker that's similar to what you have, in your price range, that they are all pretty cheaply made.  The old adage, "they don't make 'em like they used to" applies.  To get an offset smoker as heavy and well made as your old one, you'd spend a lot more money.

WSM's are very good charcoal smokers in your price range, and there are very seviceable electric and gas models in that range as well.  It all really depends on what you want.

Good luck!  Let us know which way you decide to go...
