I have been so usy with the kids and building a new patio RF that every time I smoke I never take any pics. Well, today I took the day off and my 5 year old wanted ribs for dinner so thats what we did.

I cooked these on my neighbors brinkman smoke-n-pit. I did a bunch of mods for him. Installed a reverse flow plate, moved the stack to the firebox side. I put the guru on this thin piece of metal and amazinly the guru  kept that thing within 5 degrees of my set point the whole time. The brinkman is not a bad little newbie setup.

Great looking ribs! Could you post a little more on the blue box controller please.

Meateater, the blue box is the BBQ Guru's controller system. It uses thermocouplers for the the pit and meat probes and the box is connected to a a 25cfm blower fan. Basically you set your desired temp (mine was 225 for the ribs) and this device gets your pit to temp and holds it there. Pretty much set it and forget it. I have done overnights with it and the temp never varies more then a couple degrees. This might be the best tool I have ever purchased!

thanxs for all the kind words guys. I will try to post more often.
