I have had my brinkman gourmet charcoal smoker for just over a month.  I decided today would be a good day to do my first boston butt.  Last night I rubbed it down with a few spices I threw together.  This morning before I threw it onto the smoker I sprayed it with apple juice and applpe cider vinger and then put a coat of Rendezous rub on it.  I have pictures but I can't post them on here from my ipad.). It's been raining all day, but we got basketball to watch.  The butt has been on for about 4 hours and we are up to 120 on the meat temp.  I have not made any mods to my smoker yet, but defentily need to.  I will keep every one updated.

Keep your temps stable and be patient.  Good luck, don't fret the stall,  if you get stuck at the stall and run out of time you can always pull the wrapped butt and place it in the oven.  The rain may slow it down a bit.

Good luck and be sure to let us know how it works out for you

just waiting to see some Q-views.

might be your first butt , but it wont be your last.!!!!

Well at 4:00 the meat stalled at 165 so i decided to wrap it.

An iphone app would make qview much easier.  Just a suggestion.
