We're beating up on the poor mule today. :( ;)

He's saying since you're not prepared you might as well pull it! Haha

You didn't expect this today did ya)))
  9. The problem is I have to many toys that would do the job. Now i'm thinking BGE for 1 side of the sear. then cast iron for the other. Let it rest in the UDS that is not lit. While it is sitting next to the gas grill
  10. IT is 103°  So I still have time to form a plan.

Couple hundred degrees to go! Maybe finish it off in the crock pot.

On a serious note I'd just set your drum basket on a couple of Cinder blocks put a grate over it and sear with some lump right out in the open..kind of like a open camp fire.
  13. I have a crock pot.........[IMG]I should run down to the store and buy a bottle of  that .99 BBQ sauce......or maybe katcup????

Do I plug the crock pot in? or just let it rest there after I take it out of the oven[IMG]
  14. NO!

As long as the meat ends up looking like this, I don't care how you finish it!

  17. Is that what it will look like when I get it to 200°?????
  18. For anyone who has read this far.....Remember you should not try this at home.........most of what has been posted is BS.[IMG]

Plug the crockpot in, turn to low, fill 1/2 full of straight ketchup, put the tritip in the crockpot, place crockpot in the oven set to "Broil".  Cook until ketchup bubbles out on to kitchen floor, put out fire in oven and reset breaker that tripped when crockpot cord melted.  Throw the whole mess in the trash and go out for dinner[IMG]

Seriously though, that should be some good eatin' !
