Well, got 3 nice size birds a sittin in the smoker, gonna be fer momma's day dinner we havin tonight, all the youngins is gonna be here and so is my mother. Tryin out a new glaze on one bird, it's a honey/butter glaze, let yall know how that works out too.

Gonna have batch of slaughterhouse beans, delicous potatoes, homemade bread and a fine pie fer dessert.

Also got me a bakers dozen of chicken legs in the box too, they make fer a mighty fine snack after work.

Hope to do some ABT's afterin a bit, make them up fer snackin today too.

As usuall, yall gotta wait fer the Q-View, but I thinks it'll be worth it!
 
Tip - sounds like a nice feast for Mom and Momma. Good man to be cookin' for those women of yours

Hey yall, the Honey Butter Glaze is bout as easy as it comes.

Honey/Butter Glaze:

Equal parts melted butter and Honey, ifin its to thick, warm it somemore in the microwave and brush on yer birds.

Thats it, all there is to it. Very tastey though!
 
Man them birds look awesome. I did chickens today and I still suck at them. I cant gt the skin right. Meat was tasty though.

I see yours and have something to shoot for. Great job!

if you cant get the to skin crisp try putting coals under it 4 a few min. or n the oven on broil 4 a few. I have a dry rub to go on beer chicken if yall would like it. really good. nice birds by the way.
 
Can't figure out how those chickens got passed me. WOW! Beautiful chickens. The taste must have been fabulous.
