Morning all,

Up early today and placed a fattie on the smoker. When it is done, I am going to use some of it in the peppers...(my first ones). Meatloaf is all ready and waiting to reach room temp. Don't know how this one could top my last one, but if it gets close, we will have some good Sunday Meatloaf...I followed Meowy's receipe again for this meatloaf, except I added about 1/3 cup of honey mustard...My last one really turned out great!!!

Good morning back to you swalker and to everyone else.

I too have made up a meatloaf today and it's on the ole char-broil electric smoker going at around 250. I used the recipe here from Jeff and just added about teaspoon of cumin, oh i deleted the green peppers i can not stand them. Swalker i did not find the recipe you followed but i'll try and find it and see what changes there are and give it a try again soon. OH and by the way this is my first meatloaf. So good luck on your meatloaf and have a great day.

Meatloaf is done and my wife has already been into it. lol...It turned out great too. I am starting to think ya can't mess up a meatloaf. I never have cared for meatloaf baked in a conventional oven...But I love this out of the smoker...It must be the smoke flavor that makes it so good..I left it in there a little over 5 hours. I mixed up some Heinz 57 sauce and a little honey mustard together for the topping. I put it on about an hour before the meatloaf was done. And then again about a half hour later. Really gave it a carmel color with good flavor...I left the stuffed jalapenos in a bit too long, but have already eatin one of them and they are still very good. I filled them with this mornings JD fattie and some 4-cheese shredded cheese to top them off... Now I am going to watch some Football, drink a little Budlight and enjoy the meatloaf and peppers...
Life is good!!!

Wishing y'all some great smokin.........thanks again for all the tips and tricks that makes this place so good.

Man that meatloaf looks good :D . Doing red beans and rice today and not getting my smoke fix in  . Speaking of football, HOW BOUT THEM HOGS 8)

That's a mighty fine looking meatload there. Wished i had a digital camera to take photos of mine like you did yours. Just got up from the table from eating the meatloaf i took off the smoker, turned out pretty good, wife even said it was really good and moist. I ended up putting a little thin coat of hunts bbq sauce and then poured a little bit of honey on top. Not too bad for my first meatloaf. Know i'll be doing another one. Y'all have a great day.

Hi Bill,
Glad to hear yours turned out well too. I just had another slice of the one I fixed. It is really great. Hope you are enjoying this forum as much as me. Great amount of info and a great place too!!!

Meatloaf looks great but man, those peppers look like they would just melt in your mouth!!!

Hi Carl, I sure was this weekend..lol. I can't believe the difference in a smoked meatloaf and one that is just baked in an oven...

Hey Carl........good one.....you can call me loafer this past sunday, just as long as it did not interfere in me getting to the meatloaf. Have a great day.
