I am Steve, and I am new to smoking meat.

I have a Brinkman side smoker(Model 1751), it fit my need for a grill and the chance to dabble into smoking.  After about a year of grilling with Propane bottles, I ran a natural gas line and converted it to NG.  I am open to any advice although I am surrounded by smokers in my neighborhood.

Steve, Welcome from SC. I'm sure you will enjoy this site. There are lots of folks here with tons of knowledge who always eager to share ideas, tips, recipes or anything else that you need. All you have to do is ask. I'm not a gas guy, so I can't give you any help, but I'm sure someone will be along shortly that can. Good luck, Joe

Welcome to SMF from Indian Trail! :welcome:
We're glad to have you. The search bar at the top is your most valuable resource here. This forum has been around for over ten years, so there is a good chance that any questions you may have, have already been answered (they may have 10 different answers, but you'll get an instant response non the less).
Please be sure to post your smokes along with your process and recipes. We will be glad to help you along the way and we may also learn something new ourselves in the process. Also, don't forget the very important Q view! (We're mad for pics on here 😁)
Always remember to have fun because it's not fun if you have to work at it.
    Thanks for joining,
    - Ryan
