Hey everyone. I live in the Minneapolis area and am just starting out with a new smoker. I bought a GOSM after the reviews on this site. I am currently smoking a whole turkey as I type. My only other attempt at smoking was a few weeks ago when I did a butt and a rack of ribs.

Man were they good!!! I think I am hooked on this smoking stuff! Can't beat the smell of the smoker going....awakens the neighborhood!

Thanks for a great site, I have learned a ton. And yes, I have done the Ecourse

Thanks all for the welcome. I am still waiting for the bird to finish. I put it in at 3:45 and it is still only at 160.......been that temp for several hours. Does turkey stall out in temp similar to what a butt does or should I turn up the temp? I went about 325* for an hour and then to 275* after that.

Welcome to SMF. As Solar said, we do like lots of Qview.

Hello Chris, and welcome to the SMF. Looks like you're another happy owner of a GOSM, plenty of folks put out some great Q on that smoker. looking forward to your next smoke.
