Hey All, I was happy to find this site; I've already seen some great info.

I've been smokin' for less than a year; since about last June I guess. I started with just an 18.5 inch weber kettle (which worked surprisingly well actually), but have since purchased a smoker from Lowes. It's just their WSM knock-off with their Master Forge brand name but it holds steady at 250. I just have to add charcoal a little more often than I think I would on the WSM or others.

Smoked 4 rack of baby backs last weekend that turned out great and I'm going to do some chicken this weekend with a new rub a friend recommended.

I'll see y'all around.

Glad to have you aboard my friend, but remember:

Hello Mike, and welcome to the SMF. Thanks for the introduction, and have a great weekend. It's all good my friend.

Welcome.  I graduated from Lakeland High School more than half a century ago.  I remember Miss Haley, our senior English teacher who finally retired after teaching there for 69 years.  I also remember the Smokehouse BBQ place a bit to the west of town center.  The sauce there got so popular that the guy sold the restaurant and just made the sauce.  It ended up getting marketed in the Publix.  We'd buy a case when we went back to visit.  I think the difference was his addition of orange to the sauce.  Unfortunately, it seems to have disappeared from the market years ago.
