When it's 85 degrees I normally wouldn't make stew but all the wife wanted was roasted veggies for dinner! I wanted more than that. I would have made this in the DO but decided to use the milk can instead.

    Here's what's in the can:

Taters, corn, celery, carrots, onion, garlic. Thyme, salt, pepper.
3 pounds of beef cut into 1" cubes. Marinated in Worsty, salt, pepper, garlic. Seared on all sides then put in can.

2 Deschutes Black Butte Porter beers

    4 cups beef broth

    1 can tomato paste

Takes about 45 minutes-1 hour once you see steam coming out the vent.

The 2 1/2 gallon Ogallala milk can.

The wife's veggies ready for the oven.

Everything I the can except the meat.

Ready to sear. Did this cook on the gassers side burner.

    Into the pot.

Drink a few of these and wait!

Wife's roasted veggies turned out great. But not as good as my stew!

Only thing missing was some biscuits or homemade bread!

    Enjoy!!!!

Thanks David! I really wanted to cook in the can so this fit the bill. Of course the can cooks a great chuckie too!
