I have a MES 30" and have been doing a lot of reading on here. I read in the instruction manual to only load about a half cup of wood chips in it at a time, and let it burn before adding more. After reading a few posts on the MES I have seen some people say they add wood chips until it is full. That would be nice that way I don't have to refill it and watch it as much. I am new to this so am looking for you MES users to help me get the most out of my smoker. What to do? How do you know when it is full, will it just not add more chips? Sorry to bug you all with "stupid" questions too.

Not an MES user (YET) but while you're waiting for a reply, why not wander over to ROLL CALL and introduce yourself.  There'll be a bigger audience over there.  Oh, and by the way, the people on this site don't believe in stupid questions, they're just questions you don't have the answer to yet.

NW, I have already introduced myself over there. But do you think I should just post this over there to get more responses?

Hi..I am new to the MES also, but have been playing with it for a couple of weeks. I would fill the chip loader with soaked chips and dump it. You'll get about 45 minutes of smoke there. You can keep doing that till you're done, or get an a-maze-n smoker to even make it more easy.
