I recently got am MES 40, and I'm loving mine too!!  I use the AMNPS, and it becomes about as "set it and forget it" as it comes.

I'm working on getting mine as well seasoned as yours!

Just keep feeding it meat and smoke and it won't take long at all.Mine is about 2yrs old and have smoked alot of stuff in it durning that time.Don't have a AMNPS but am looking at them and will probally get one, have a birthday next month and sounds like a good gift.I have a friend who has several old apple trees and when he has to cut one down I get the wood and we have been running the limbs thru the chipper and I use those in my MES and I would guess that it would also work in the AMNPS. What do you think?

Dale -- The AMNPS is made for pellets, so I'm not sure about using chips in it.  But hey, with a free supply of apple chips, you might as well feed them into the chip tray.

I highly recommend the AMNPS -- you can get up to 11 hours of smoke from it.  I've not used the chip loader and tray in my MES, but I understand you have to reload like once an hour (you know better than me on this one).

I'll keep feeding it the smoke just as you suggest!
