MES 30 owner thinking of getting a smoking tex 1400 or SMOKIN-IT #3 any thoughts or insite

Hello fellow smokers,

I've got a MES 30 that I've owned for 4 years. I've definitely got my money's worth out of it. I've had great success with every kind of meat and side dish you can think of. I use my smoker at least once a week. I've been looking into purchasing another electric smoker due to the use of the MES and I don't think it has much life left in it. I've been reading different reviews and I'm really torn between which "new" electric smoker I should get. I'm looking at the Smokin Tex 1400 and the SMOKIN-IT #3. I know the price difference but I'm looking at which one is going to produce the best results and consistently. Any insight or information would be appreciated. I've been spoiled with the digital temp control with the MES but I can adapt and overcome with a analog. Thanks!

Both are great smokers!!   I own a Smokin-It #2 and LOVE it.  Why did I choose that one?  Great reviews AND cost savings over the Smokin Tex.   I use my smoker at least once a week and sometimes more.  Never had an issue......meat always comes out great and I don't have to worry about a thing. 

Can't go wrong with either but why not save money where you can and STILL get a great smoker?
