Middle East
Hi all, first of all I have to say this site has been great to me over the past couple months and I appreciate all who contribute to it. Thank you

I am from GA but have been living in the Middle East for over 5 years now working as an Oil & Gas Executive. 2 years ago my wonderful, thoughtful wife bought me a Weber Smokey Joe 13" Grill after hearing me mention I wanted a grill lol. Ever since she bought it I have been using it for smoking chicken and grilling steaks. Now it seems way too small and my food is always complaining that the grill isnt a comfortable place to be cooked.

I am really limited on what I can buy even though we have a Sears, Ace, and True Value store. I found a barrel smoker that I was thinking of getting from Ace, "Masterbuilt or Brinkmann, I cant remember" and semi-retiring my Baby Weber for use at the beach only.

I hope to learn alot from you guys here especially in the Lamb forum as thats the most prevelant meat you can buy in the ME besides Chicken.

Again Thank you guys/gals for your contributions

   Glad to have you aboard!

Wow, a Smokey Joe is tiny!!  You should be applauded for working with that for two years!  I would have gone stir crazy.  If you can work with that for so long, I would think any kind of smoker/grill would adapt for you!

Do a search here in the forum for the smoker you are looking for and you will know soon enough if it is the right one.  The great thing is that if it may not be the best one, there are probably mods here to show you how to make it great.  I would imagine availability can be difficult in the middle east.

I guess smoking butts and ribs would be a NO-NO!

Having said that, being forced to smoke and eat lamb would be like throwing me in the briar patch!

Good luck and good smoking.

Thank you all for your kind greetings ans warm welcome.

@Ron, My baby Smokey Joe has saved the day many times. Went to my local Ace Hardware (Believe it or not we have Ace & True Value in the ME) to purchase a new smoker and they sold out. Told me 3-5 months wait time on the new orders.
