Newbie to this site. Just turned 30 and been a meat smoking machine for the past 6 years. Currently own a Weber Genesis Gold, 22" Weber Original Kettle, and Propane Cajun Injector Smoker. Wife says that's 2 more than I need, so I figured I better add one more.

I'm starting to cook more for parties and was in search of a larger smoker that could withstand the MN winters and wanted to smoke over night while being able to set it/forget it.  I saw a picture of a fridge to smoker conversion and decided I wanted to tackle that project.

I just picked up a mint 1939 Frigidaire made by GM for $20. I found this site looking for conversion ideas and I hit the jackpot!

I am in a bit of a pickle. I am contemplating buying Pellet Pro Hopper from Smoke Daddy and installing that or building from scratch using a fin strip heater, PID controller and AMNPS with a ammo box as I have seen a few others do on here. I will begin my teardown in 2 weeks and post pics under smoker builds.

If there are any other Minnesotans out there, feel free to send me a message.
