So after telling somebody meatloaf was good in the smoker I made myself want some so here it is. This was using an AC Leggs Meatloaf spice pack plus some fresh onions and bell peppers. I made two 2.5 lb'ers Not sure why the cutting board edge looks like that in the pics but trust me it doesn't look like that in real life

That's some fine looking meat loaf, Jerry!  I don't think I've ever followed a recipe for meatloaf, but I do always cook it in the smoker.

Nice job!

I don't know which is better?  Meatloaf with mashed potatoes and gravy? Or a cold meatloaf sandwich the next morning?

Now I am hungry.

Looks great Piney !!! Glad you posted this, as it is a awesome reminder to new members, meatloaf does not have to be a boring meal and when it is smoked really changes the meal to being special. I have not had meatloaf from the oven since I read here a few years ago about smoking meatloaf, hope I never do !!!

Mo I never liked meatloaf out of the oven I plain wouldn't eat it. I made one for my wife and son in law since they both really like meatloaf I had actually smoked something else chicken I think for my daughter and I to eat that night since she doesn't like meatloaf either. After both the wife and son in law talked about how good it was I tried a piece and liked it then the daughter tried a piece and liked it so its now become a pretty regular meal around here as long as its smoked

About how long does the meatloaf take to smoke? Im curious to see if I have time to do one after I get home from work for dinner. Do you smoke at 225 or higher?

Thanks,

Chris

I smoke mine at 225 and depending on how big you make it the time can be anywhere from a couple hours to 3-4 for a bigger one. Just go by temp to 165 and you are good.
