Meatloaf today...

    I smoked a meatloaf today...It is still in the smoker and just about ready...I got a couple of ears of sweet corn in there too...It is setting at 152 degrees now, so will fix some mashed potatoes and gravy shortly...My wife worked today so I figured the least I could do was fix her some supper...It's been a great 4th of July weekend for me..

    Yum - looks like a good start. Corn goes good with anything!

    Looks really great - I love meatloaf.  Haven't tried one on the smoker, will have to add that to the "list"...

    Details-temp and time?

    It turned out great...I don't care for meatloaf in an oven...But bring it out of a smoker and man o man...I set my GOSM on it stays right at 250 degrees. I probably had it in the smoker for 4 hours...I use a digital thermometer to keep track of the internal temps of the meat...At 161 degrees, I shut it off...I also use 3 parts apple juice and 1 part captain morgans spiced rum for a spritz. I spray around every thirty minutes or so...About the last 1/2 hour of smoking I smear on some Heinz 57 and brown sugar mix for a topping.
