Raptor are you freakin' kidding me!?!  You make perfect meatballs, lay some sweet smoke on 'em, then hit them with RAGU!!!!!

Salsa Pomodora

2T EVOO

1/2C Chopped Onion

3ea Cloves Garlic, minced

28oz Cento San Marzano Tomatoes, diced or puree

10ea Fresh Basil leaves, rough chopped

Salt, Pepper and Pinch of Red Pepper Flakes

Heat EVOO over medium heat.

Add Onion, saute 3 minutes, until slight golden.

Add Garlic, saute 1 minute, until fragrant.

Add the canned Tomatoes, simmer 15-20 minutes.

Add Basil, Salt, Pepper and Red Pepper Flakes, simmer 1 minute.

Serve and Enjoy!!

Dude, 30 minutes total time and NO HEARTBURN or CHEMICALS!!!

I was Drooling then started Crying when I got to the pic of the JAR...JJ

Man o man Rap, those sammies look absolutely delicious!

Next time I fire up the smoker I'm gonna smoke some meatballs.

Awww Maaaannnn!!!!

That looks awesome!!!

Since it's Italian, wouldn't that be "Meata Balla Beara Viewa"??

Thanks Rap !!!

Bear

Shooter, I agree, if you have less than 30 minutes to put Dinner on the table, Jar sauce can get it done...

But I follow Raptor and he can cook his BUTT off! (pun intended)

With a couple of hours in the smoker, provides a little time AND the bulk of the work, chopping Onions and Garlic, being basically done...

A "very good" Sammie, becomes an, OUT OF THIS WORLD SAMMIE! Just one guys opinion...JJ

Smoked meat balls, I'll be damned. Never thought about that!

Wife makes her own in the oven, maybe we can have a little competition! How long until they hit 155 IT?

Hey Rapp those sammies look great. I do agree with Jimmy on the sauce

Those look mighty tasty. Since you have some smoked cheese, you might try stuffing a small piece in the middle before the smoke. It really adds another layer of flavor

Rap,

Looks great.  Nice ring on the meatballs too.  I did some meat balls for subs the other night too but just did them in the oven, stupid me.  Gonna have to try the smoked version this weekend.

Great looking sammie man! However, I have to agree with Chef Jimmy (maybe cuz we are from NJ) on the Ragu (and the cheddar...lol). Not that I have never used it in a pinch, but it would have been over the top with a nice homemade sauce. Looks great!
