Does such a thing exist? I dropped the send unit my old digital thermometer and it doesn't seem to send a signal anymore. My MES2 has a built in thermometer that is fairly accurate, but I want to buy a digital one that works remotely in 2 ways:

Sends signal to digital receiver inside my living room, so I can monitor it while watching tv.

Also allow me to monitor it on my smart phone, so if I need to go somewhere, I can check to see if it is about to hit temp so I can go home and take the meat off the smoker.

Suggestions?

There is a great new product that is coming out this summer that looks very promising..... I have singed up to get one and I am hoping it does great things.

I'm holding out for these.  It's the "Meater" by Apption Labs.  They are in testing now and "should" be on the market later this year.  It's both a meat probe and pit probe in one. Totally wireless and works with your smart phone (Apple or Droid).  With the 4 unit dock, it can also connect to your internet and you can see the temps anywhere in the world as long as you have internet access on your phone.  Should be out soon.  I'm not pre-ordering as I want them to be on the market and read a few reviews first, but it look really promising.

I do like the 4 probes but I need the range of the radio frequency. Bluetooth here at my placement of my smoker prevents any farther range than 20 feet.
