Howdy all,

The name is Jeff and I am located in Maryland.

I have used this sight for some basic education on smoking and recently purchased a Masterbuilt xl propane smoker.

I assembled and started to season today as well as picked up a large iron skillet to replace the current wood chip pan.  I also picked up a waterproof grill cover which fits.  Mods still to do are a larger water pan, felt for the door seal and a second internal thermomiter.

I am hoping to do some ribs for the Sunday football game and have hickory and apple wood chunks on hand.  Any advice would be appreciated.  I will post how the trial run goes with the ribs.

I look forward to browsing the site more and gaining some experience as I go along.
