Thought I would post this up. I stumbled on this recipe one day while I was doing a chuck roast in the crock pot. When i do a chuck in the pot I add 1 can Campbell's beef broth and 1 can Campbell's french onion soup or 1 pkg of powdered onion soup mixed with 1 cup water and let her go then add all the other stuff later to make a stew.

I thought... what would happen if I used a butt or shoulder with the same Campbell's beef broth and french onion soup.... I tried it and it came out delicious for pulled pork sammies. I further started using different BBQ sauces on the PP sammies and really liked my curley's BBQ sauce which gave it a McRib taste...... Had something going on here........ I then added the onions and dill pickles and  There it was. A McRib sandwich...... The taste is so close........ Weird how we stumble on things. Had no inclination to make a McRib..... So this is what I do

1 pork shoulder in the crock pot

1 can Campbell's beef broth

1 can Campbell's french onion soup or 1 pkg powdered onion soup/1cup water

Crock pot it for 12 to 16 hrs till you can tear easily with fork. Remove from pot gently and place in pan or tray to separate fat with fork. Remove fat. add 2 cups of the leftover broth to the meat.

Forgot to get a pick before it came out of the crock

Here is the shoulder after being pulled with a fork and removal of the fat

The results......... 1 home made McRib........

oh man that looks good!!!  A lady at our church makes country style ribs in a crock pot till they fall apart and serves them on flour tortillas with slaw, and Frito corn salsa....

I don't cook much in a crock pot but there's nothing wrong with a Pulled Pork Pot Roast...I've done a similar deal in the Oven at 300*F with a splash of Liquid Smoke. With the exception of having No Bark...The flavor is not bad at all!...Your's is making me McHungry!...JJ

So did you order that sauce on line or do you find it locally (Foodlion, Piggly wiggly

I would get it locally but the store who sold it went out of business. Now I order it by the case on line..........Its some good BBQ sauce...... I prefer it over all others.... Lea and perrings made a  BBQ sauce that I thought was awesome and used it until they quit making it.........

That's cool Joe,

Since your coming to Florida anyway, bring some of that sauce and your crock pot.

We can have your sammies saturday night while we sample the Mason jars
