Hey All

looking for a little guidance :)

I would like to slow cook my turkey this year.....Not going to smoke it as the wife doesn't love the smoked flavor.

So i will just put the turkey into the MES add some water and let her cook.

Question- How long is a 27 Pound turkey going to take?...What temp is best?

thanks a ton all

Paul

Steelbone , hello . If you have an oven that is in use , you could 'cook' it in the MES ,and at the temps. Master builts top out , you'll be  slow cooking it and should expect 12min./lb. .at 265*F. . This a only a guestimate

for planning cook time , use a probe therm. and go to 165*F in the Breast , The Legs and Thighs should be around 170*F .. However , if my oven was not being used , yes , and save the wear and tear on your smoker...

Have a great Thanksgiving , and . . .
