So,I'm new here but have already found this group to be very helpful. I have the Masterbuilt 30 gas smoker and the third time I used it, it started on fire. It first did it when I lit it. I looked on here to see why. So I took everything apart, cleaned out the burner but did NOT clean the venturi tube. Relit it and smoked 15 lbs of pork shoulder for 7 hours before it started on fire,burned the hose,orifice,etc. I now know the troublesome nature of spiders in the tube !! Just got off the phone with Masterbuilt customer service and they are sending me the whole working gas portion of the smoker. Regulator,hose,burner,tube,orifice,control,etc for FREE !! Even though I had forgotten to send in the warranty card !! So I'll be up and smoking again in 3-4 days and because of this page,a rookie smoker now knows at least one thing to watch out for !
