Hey everyone, Just looking for some advice here. I have been smoking for a litlle over half a year with success on my masterbuilt electric smoker ,, which is a non digital in cabinet type smoker and definatley a cheaper beginners model. It has worked really well so far but lately has been having issues with not getting up to temperature and has been sitting at around 150F even when on high it just does not want to get up to 225 - 250 where i usually cook at. So i was wondering if anyone knows why it is doing this or how to fix it.. I am hoping it is not the element and could just be a simple fix.. I am just going off the stock thermometer on the unit which i realize is not always an accurate choice but judging by the prolonged cook times for different meats i am sure that it is not working properly.. and insight would be greatly appreciated .. thanks

I was using an extension chord so i unplugged it and it made no difference.. Gunna try cleaning the heat probe like you suggested though, thanks for the advice .. If it doesnt work i may just have to call masterbuilt..
