Masterbuilt 30" 2 Door

So I just purchased the standard Masterbuilt Propane smoker. My only concern so far is controlling the air flow on a windy day. Can anyone give me some suggestions? I was thinking of going to a metal shop and having them make me some custom cutout that I can attach to each leg to completely cover that but not sure if that will do the job.

Any ideas would be great.

This is exactly what I was thinking. Would it be of any benefit to do the front and back sides too?

I did both sides and the back. Left the front open.

I made the same pattern out of cardboard covering the two sides and back.  The three pieces are taped together for ease of install when needed.

@Lamar  I'm considering doing the same thing.  I've never worked with metal, was it easy to cut the pieces and install them?  Any rec. on what type of sheet metal I buy?  Also..have you noticed enough of a difference to make it worth the time?

I just made a couple of foldable windscreens with some plywood, hinges and a handle. Move them around the smoker as needed.

The metal does not have to be heavy gauge. Any will do. Cheap flashing at a big box store will work fine and easy to cut with a pair of metal shears. I used self tapping metal screws to install the plates. Mine are light weight aluminum simply because I had it.
