I had an issue with my Master Built 30inch propane smoker not getting hot enough. I called Masterbuilt and they sent me a new burner, still didn't work. Called back and said, it can only be three things, the regulator, the burner or the valve, and I've changed everything but the valve. The sent me a new valve, hose and regulator combo and I'm back in business.
So, I think that there must be an issue with their original valve design since the everything between the propane and burner is now one piece instead of three.
