Just curious if any of you have ever marinated after you did the kosher salt bath (covering in salt for awhile before rinsing them off). The wife picked up some large Sirloin cuts of steaks from BJ's, they don't look great but they are thick. Curious if i could marinate them after the salt trick. Your thoughts?

I've heard of covering meats in salt and baking, then remove the salt cake and eat the meat....   Not sure what method, you are using, does to the meat, and what the marinade would do....   salt removes moisture, marinade adds moisture...

I have covered in kosher salt and rinsed off after about 45 mins or so. When I do this the meats veins seem more opens up if that makes any sense. I figured it would then take a marinade really well. It does seem kinda counter productive though now that I think about it.
