just bought a master built smoker and hope to give it a good work out here in the very near future. We enjoy salmon fishing on lake Michigan and hope to bring home a couple to put in the smoker (love smoked salmon). I thought I'd try some easy stuff first like beef jerky then move to Ribs etc. any advise on rubs, sauces etc would be appreciated.

I wouldn't say jerky is easy. There is the whole curing process involved with it. Ribs believe it or not are not all that hard. Butts are pretty easy also just lengthy. Pork tenderloin is pretty easy and quick at about 2 hours in the smoker at 225/250 range.

Welcome to SMF, Lots of recipes , Up at the top click on Forums, than a drop down menu will appear then click on Recipes Only hope that helps Good Luck.
