Hi,
New to smoking and this forum. I'm looking for some ideas and instruction on how to smoke a venison back strap. I recently got a buck with my bow for the first time. I put a lot of time and effort into developing the area where I harvested him. A few weeks ago I started putting apples out for him almost everyday so I'd like to smoke it with apple wood and if anyone has a idea for a apple rub, marinade, or brine I would greatly appreciate it. Also at what temperature should I smoke at. Was thinking about stuffing it and wrapping it in bacon as well. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. I want this to turn out great as this deer was sentimental to me so don't want to screw it up. Thanks!
