Ever try white sauce for chicken or mustard sauce for pork? Lexington dip is my favorite for pork on a plate. Mustard or bourbon for sammies. Or island style. What are you looking for??
  3. My Vote for the chicken is the White BBQ Sauce, with the pork any quality Hot Pepper and fruit Chutney.

    Keep On Smokin,

How about a sweet bourbon sauce? I’ve never had Jeff’s sauce so I don’t know what the profile is.
  8. bourbon sauce would be fine, but we are not drinkers , can you make the sauce without the alcohol.

The alcohol cooks out if that's what you're asking, you but it does require bourbon. I give it to my kids and non drinking family if that helps.
  10. thanks LanceP i will do a search on bourbon sauce to find the right recipe.thanks

Let me get home and I'll post mine here. It's more tangy than sweet but that's easy enough to fix with honey or molasses.
  12. SmokesOnTuesday that will be great. THANKS, they are a lot of fine people on this site that do not mind helping.

    Here's mine

    Bourbon Sauce

    4 oz Jim Beam
    1 1/2 cup ketchup
    1/2 cider vinegar
    1/2 cup molasses
    1/4 cup Worcestershire
    2 tbsp lemon juice
    2 tbsp Memphis style rub
1-2 tsp smoked paprika or chipotle

Pour bourbon into sauce pan and set to med heat. Swirl or stir until it reduces to 1/4. About 2 tbsp. Whisk in the rest of the ingredients and simmer covered on low for about 15-20 minutes.
  16. LanceP thank you for your help and your recipe.
