    Hi Folks,

I sell beer jerky at a local farmers market and the occasional festival. My current slicer is just about dead and I have my biggest event in 2 weeks. Can everyone recommend a reliable food slicer that isn't too expensive and can handle 50 300 lbs a month.
Please let me know the model of your goto slicer. Suggestions on where to order from is also appreciated.
I have to order this at latest tomorrow so please if you read this. Let me know as soon as you can and ask your friends to send their choice.

    Thanks on advance,

    Ciao
    Rob

I have a Chef's Choice model 615. They make dozens of models, and I got one that was fairly low-end. Works absolutely great, but I think you need something with a big motor and probably a 10" blade (this is a 7" unit). There was a post about one such model just a few days ago. Take a look there because the OP provided a link to the place where he bought it.

  6. I have a working or a few working Hobart 5Hp slicers that i have been looking to move out of my storage. Shipping is on you beyond my price. They weigh 75 lb. Please pm me as I love for this community to make use of corporate waste. I do guarantee perfect working equipment, but you will need to sharpen the blades which are in excellent condition. You will have to order a sharpening set for the model as I recycle them to my contract customers.

  9. I have a omican model 220F  with a 9" blade.  115 volts I got from the Sausagemaker or Cabela's years ago, still going strong.  Paid 400 something for it. https://www.google.com/?gws_rd=ssl#q=F+omican+model+220f+meat+slicer   It sits on the counter and I use it from making coleslaw, slicing onions , hams ,roasts venison jerky etc.  Best purchase I ever made.

Hi Four20,  I tried sending you a PM yesterday.  Did you receive it?

  11. [IMG]   I have a Hobart as well, It has been cutting meat, cheese etc for many many years. My advice buy more than you need.... you will grow into it and you only have to cry once...the rest of time your grinning from ear to ear....unless you have to move the monster.

    Keep On Smokin,

    OS
