Still a perty darn good stuffer. Some folks have a problem with the meat oozin up over the plate an fix that by cuttin a piece a poly cuttin board what fits a bit tighter in the drum.
Get that all cleaned up an start stuffin some sausage!
What you have there is about 100 years of classic sausage stuffer.....an Enterprise 8 quart from the looks of it. Clean her up, bolt her down and put her to use!
To save on cleanup, try using 2 gallon zip lock bags. Snip off a corner and pull it through the spout hub and lock the stuffing tube down over it:
If you take off the stuffing plate, the push screw will come completely out, and you can unbolt the top to effectively completely dismantle it for cleaning. The screws might need a good wire brushing to get it working smoothly. To prevent any further rust, give it a light wipe down with Crisco and season it like a cast iron skillet. The decorative paint scheme they used is a work of art.
