  1. Ahoy, hoy!

My name is Mike McKinney and i live in Beaver Falls, PA.

I have been smoking meats for about 15 years, and started in a homemade smoker I called "Frankenstein."

Parts from an old charcoal grill and a galvanized garbage can were connected with a flexible aluminum dryer hose.

It was ugly. It was cheap. It was wonderful.

Have had an offset smoker for 5 years, but am in the process of building a new one using a 275 Gal oil tank.

I've started a thread in 'Other Builds' for updates on how it's going.

This is a great site, and I look forward to meeting as many of you as possible!

    No smoke, no thanks!!

[IMG]to SMF!  We are so glad you joined us!

If you didn't read the "Terms of Service" notes.....please do.  There are a few things that everyone should know about those pesky little rules before plunging into the forums. Just a teeny bit of information for some of the rules where at SMF...... off site links are not allowed. http://www.smokingmeatforums.com/a/terms-of-service

If you need any help roaming around the forums....just holler!  Happy to help out!
