Hi all, Found this site and forum when I was looking for a recipe to smoke some chuck roast over the holidays. I have been grilling and smoking for over 20 years and started by helping my mom smoke briskets on her Brinkman smoker way back in the day. I have a grill problem (at least in the eyes of others) in terms of possessing a variety of grills from my little Weber Smokey Joe to my newest addition, an IPT wood pellet grill and many others in between. My pride and joy is a what I think is a Tulsa Cooker that was given to me as a graduation gift about 15 years ago. It was purchased from Sams and this is a heavy duty all steel upright chest type smoker that can handle up to 8 good sized pork butts if need be. I have never seen anything like it and you only find something of this quality from a custom smoker builder. I continue to learn more and more everytime I cook something that is more unique like the chuck roasts I tried over the holidays. I live in Central Illinois, but grill all year round even if I have to shovel snow to get to my cookers. I am a transplanted southerner and still like the vinegar/mustard based sauce I grew to love from Sims BBQ in Little Rock, Arkansas. I am a project manager for a large yellow earthmoving equipment company. I ride MX (dirtbike racing) with my boys and I can often be found at the track in my camper using my grill to whip up something tasty even it if is grilled pizza.
