Just joining site, seems like a good one. Just a little bit about myself I've been smoking and cooking mostly pork for many, many years. Whole hogs, pork butts, ribs, homemade sausages for friends, family and large crowds, you get the pic. But, for whatever reason I was never interested in smoking beef brisket. So I got the itch and smoked my first one yesterday a 10.5 pounder for around 15 hrs. Just cut up this morn turned out awsome. Think I just added a new meat to the menu. Have a great day.

Do you have any pics of the brisket?

Sorry no pics, next time. I smoke hundreds of pounds of pork butts a year and have that down to a science. Looking foward to doing more beef. What the best way to serve brisket? I was thinking fresh buns and a BBQ sauce or Huney mustard.

Welcome to SMF.  You can serve the brisket anyway you want.  We serve it just like the pork butt.  Just another option on the table.  We also like to serve it with soft tortillas.  Makes a great taco.

Sure would like to see one of your pork butt smokes since you are so good at it. Maybe we can learn something from you.

Brisket is my favorite....would like to see some pics of your stuff......Welcome to the forum...lot of Pro`s on here !

Thanks for the invite but the 28th is my daughters 16th Birthday party. Doing 40 to 50 lbs. of smoked pulled pork at her request. Wife's picking up the pork butts today. I like to put my rub on them 2 to 3 days in advance. Boy, if it was summer me and the boss (wife) would hop on the scoot and be over. I live close to Erie Pa. and work in Ohio. Conneaut, Ashtabula, Geneva area. I haul freight. Have a good day.
