Hi all,

Been grilling since I was young and do it year round even in South Jersey.

Currently utilizing a Char Broil Infra Red 4-burner gas grill for quick jobs and a Weber Kettle and Smokey Joe for real bi-level fires. I use real wood charcoal for both.

Getting a Smokin' Pro w/ side firebox for Christmas (it's actually sitting in the box waiting to be assembled) but I can't touch it until the 25th.

In the meantime, I'll peruse the discussions and recipes on here and look forward to sharing my trials and triumphs with you.

Smokin' Jimmy, welcome to SMF!  Glad you are here and chomping at the bit to assemble the new toy.  I was in your EXACT same shoes two years ago Christmas.  Pssst, here's a trick.  Tell your wife you want to smoke a turkey for Christmas and need a few days to assemble the smoker and season it.  Worked for me!

Have fun!
