Hey guys,

Does anyone here have a Lone Star Grillz offset smoker?  I am seriously considering the LSG 24"x48".  I really like the design of this smoker.  The quality seems second to none.  I might possibly go for the LSG 24"x 48" with the vertical slow smoker.  For the price difference I figure why not!  :)

Thanks!

I just ordered the 24x48 with vertical last week. Been looking at this company and smoker for several years and finaly decided to pull the trigger. Did as much research as I possibly could. Looked up every possible detail that had to do with Lone Star Grillz and know without a doubt this will be the best and last smoker I ever buy.  As of my order last week, he is 17 weeks out (mabe 18 now with my order). It is a 50% deposit to be put in line and get the build started.  Good luck!! Jeff

Thanks for the quick reply Jeff.  WOW 17 week lead time!  Good luck with your rig sir.  I think I am going to go with the same one.  Did you talk to Chris about how hot the vertical gets and how well it will hold heat?  Guess I better place my order pretty soon!

Hey Joe, The vertical usually is 30-50 degrees cooler than the main chamber. Holds temp very well as it is also that 1/4" steel and is flange sealed on all 4 sides.  I think im going to have 2 extra grates and 2 extra sausage hangers added to the vertical.  One good thing about a 17 week lead tim is you have plenty of time to fine tune what you want in your grill and change things before it starts being built.  Good luck Joe!!
