LO NO Salt, LOWER CARB BBQ Sauce and Great Jerk Rub

  1. Pretty good stuff

    SAUCE

    4 cups crushed tomato's  no salt   large can

    1 can tomato paste no salt

    1/2 cup apple vinegar

    1 cup water

    1/2 cup molasses

    6 teaspoons Worcester sauce

    2 Tablespoons ground Black Pepper

    1 teaspoon Cayenne pepper

    3/4 cup brown sugar   (Spenda)

    6 cloves of garlic    diced small

    2 teaspoons onion powder

    2 teaspoons hot sauce      (Tabasco)

    Bring to a simmer, cook for 15 minutes  stirring the whole time

    sweet but spicy after-burn

    JERK RUB

    2 Tablespoons onion powder

    2 Tablespoons brown sugar     (Splenda)

    2 teaspoons ground black pepper

    1 teaspoon ground nutmeg

    1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

    1 teaspoon ground cloves

    3 teaspoons ground allspice

    1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper

    1 teaspoon crushed thyme

    1/2 teaspoon ground marjoram

    1/2 teaspoon ground oregano

    1/2 teaspoon crushed rosemary

    combine well and seal in air tight container

    works well on chicken and pork
