I've been a long time lurker, soaking up as much knowledge from you guys as possible & I figured it was time for me to start contributing. I can't contribute without properly introducing myself now, can I?

Well, I just started smoking about a year ago. Started with the foil packs on my gas grill & finally got myself a standalone gas smoker for Father's Day this year. Best thing I ever did! Pork butts are our favorite but I'm slowly venturing into other things. I did a 19.58lb turkey (225, 5.25hrs, mesquite/hickory mix) for Thanksgiving which turned out absolutely amazing, thanks to an article posted here on the forum! My family was impressed & stuffed and won't eat it any other way now.

Thanks for having me!
