Liner still present after HOT burn...ideas???

measured and cut the intake holes and Burned burned burned.....YET....the damn liner didnt budge.

Any further ideas on getting this liner off?????

I already have the sandblasting co. ready for it once its burned BUT its no different on the inside.

Welcome to SMF. Stop in the roll call and tell us a bit about yourself.

What kind of drum did you get? Sounds like it might be one of those food grade drums used for honey that have the lining on the inside. Maybe sandblasting can remove the liner. I've never tried to burn one of those out yet. Thought I was going to be able to try but the ones on craigslist sold out before I could get one.

Sandblast or wire cup on an angle grinder. They are TOUGH to get out. I've heard an abrasive wheel for removing paint works.

Yes the abrasive wheel on a grinder worked better that the wire cup brush in my opinion, buy buy both types, they both work just the abrasive one seems to work quicker. if you have a harbor freight tools near you they are way cheaper there than at home depot.
