I joined SMF a few weeks ago and I am so happy I did.I am 57 years old and have been BBQing for most of my life. I was born and raised in Washington MO which is about 45 min. west of St. Louis off of Interstate 44, so BBQ is big in my territory. I love to cook and always look forward to the weekend when I have time to work on my favorite pastimes of helping my son work on his hot rods and cooking, inside and outside I added a smoke box to my Chargriller last year but was never satisfied with the results of my efforts at smoking. That is until I started reading and following the instructions and recipes from the folks on SMF. Since then I have smoked ribs, chicken and whole pork butt all with great outcomes, My son told me they are the best I have ever done, that is the best reward ever!!!!! This is Sun. evening the day after the 4th of July. I smoked 4 slabs of baby backs and 16 chicken thighs yesterday, a full grill! I'm going to heat up some leftovers and will be enjoying them all week!  Thanks for all the great info!!

That's a great story. It briefly portrays what can happen when we read, pay attention, try what we learn and keep stepping up. Next time, please try to include some pics of your cook and smoker. Good luck, keep searching for tips and ideas and keep smoking, Joe
