I am going to pick up a used lang mobile 60. I am worried about the tires on the trailer during the trip home. Can anyone tell me the tire size and lug pattern.

Thanks guys,
Justin

P.S. Does anyone know what the axle size Lang uses. I want to get some bearing buddies for the ride back.

I don't have a Lang

but you might call the owner and find the tire size and whether it's a 4 bolt or 5 bolt rim. Most trailer rims are pretty standard. Once you find out go to Lowes and get a tire and rim assembly, if you make it home without using it return it and the go to a tire store and get a couple of new tires on your rims. Please check the air and air them to the max inflation thats on the side of the tire, you will have less problems if you do that

On edit Langs phone # is 800-462-4629

Hey, I'm dead serious about you PM'ing Bud. He really has a Lang and is intimate with it.

Let's just say he knows his Lang. It produces pretty good ribs too.

I called Ben Lang. What a cool cat. He was in a hurry and still gave me the 5 minutes I needed. If anyone is interested the trailer tire is a 13in 5 lug, the bearings are 1 inch and the outer diameter of the hub is 2 inches. The hitch is a 2 in ball. Just in case anyone else runs into that problem.

Well I went to Charlston and bought my used LM60. This thing rocks!! It has little to no rust on it and has been cooked on a ton. The only problem is a busted weld in the grease channel over the firebox. I will weld it in a day or so. I put 15 lbs of Boston Butt on it and they were great. This is really a great cooker. You have to add a small log every hour or so to maintain 225. Every so often you may have to add two to get the base coals built up again. This thing also pulls like a dream. My little 4 cyl toyota dosen't even know it's back there. More to come.

Nope-

This thing was only pulled a few hundred miles. I just installed some bearing buddies, greased them up and pulled the thing back to Atlanta.

That's awesome Justin!

One of these days, I'll be towing one around also...

Good luck with it and show us some pics!
