Landmann 3895GWLA - Temperature

Can anyone with this smoker tell me what the max internal temperature of their 3895GWLA is

when the knob is set to High?  I just set mine up and it won't get any hotter than

240 degrees (empty).  I called Landmann, but the person I spoke with wasn't sure.  I'm new to

this forum and I look forward to hearing back from other members with this grill or similar

I have the non-wide version. I'm not sure of the max temp, but I've had mine to at least 300 when heating up. And I've done extended smokes at 250 set just above medium.

A lady at Landmann told me today that with hers, she could control temperatures from 180 to about 300.  Said she really enjoyed hers.

This is one of several I'm seriously looking into!! How does everyone that has it like it or not?

I cured my new one yesterday and it hit 350 on high.  Have a pork roast cooking on it now.   Seems to be a fine cooker.  Holding temp  good.

Are you going by  the thermometer on the door?  Mine is reading 35 low.
