Hi everyone, my name is jeff (no that joke is no longer funny) brand new to smoking but am so keen to get started, now I've seen this posted a few times on this forum but with no definitive answer charcoal, electric or propane? Ease of use is not a problem I'm looking for the best taste (in the end isn't that what it's really about) i just want to know before i dump a bunch of money on a new smoke.

I have been cooking on open wood fires since i was a kid in camp ovens and such so messing around with coals is no big deal at all, i actually enjoy it, i just want the best smokey flavour.

Good morning and welcome to the forum, from a rainy day in East Texas and the best site on the web. Lots of great people with tons of information on just about  everything.
