3 baked and 4 sweet potato's, sorry sausage went on after the abt's came off, 40 of them don't last long, had Halloween at the campground and I made the mistake of offering a couple to some parents that were taking there kids around Trick or Treating, they carried them around the campground and told where they got them. Pretty soon people started showing up on golf carts begging for them

Looking back that is what I should have taken pictures of, but at least we got some jello shots in trade.

So what is the verdict on the New Lang, have all its predecessors been retired?

The verdict is I told the wife I don't think I ever need another toy again, for me nothing can beat this (except maybe someday a bigger one) Once with a little help from others here I got the hang of fire management this thing is really easy to use. Once you get all of that steel heated up she holds temps great. And being in the middle of Wisconsin wood is easy to get and a lot cheaper than charcoal. I ordered 3 face cords of oak for $55 each cut split and delivered for next year and once word got around a lot of folks are bringing me apple and even some hickory for free.
Cant yet part with the new braunfels offset, I think I will use it for overflow when I need more room. But I think I paid about $130 for it about 5 or 6 years ago and now you cant find one as good as it even made anymore for the price. I took really good care of it, cleaned the grates and firebox after each use, not a spot of rust on it anywhere and I just know if I sell it I'll regret it. I did use them both once this year though for butts when I had more charcoal than wood. the fate of the other 2 are undecided yet also.

I swear I don't work for Ben Lang but I feel when you get one of these things, there is nothing better.

Keep the other smoker my friend. Look at it this way. When ya are gonna run a really big load put your poultry on the NB and not worry if it is about or below or next to just go!

That's pretty much the way I see it, but the gasser might go
