Decided to do a small smoke for just the wife and me for the Labor day weekend. hope this is enough !!

2 chickens, 3 Butts, 2 Ribeyes, Brisket, 7 Hot Links, Meatloaf



Got the Butts for $0.97 lbs

Love Red Hot Links


Rib Eyes , going to smoke for an hour then on the hot grill.


Going to make a small meatloaf


Brisket , going to make some Burnt ends


save $10 on the Brisket


Chicken was $0.99lbs so got two , one will be smoked and the other in the fryer for

some good fried chicken, (might smoke then in the fryer) Smoke fried Chicken

Making some onion rings to go with the fried chicken.


Today (Saturday) will start with the Meat Loaf, Rib Eyes

Sunday will be the Brisket, 3 Butts,

Monday the Chicken.

Going to be an AWESOME weekend on the smoker !!!!!!!!

Going to be a Chef JJ recipe day .,

1) Apple Pork topper

2) Chef Jimmy's Au Jus

3) Chef Jimmy's Foiling Juice

Went to the store to get all the stuff for this. Ended up buying 3 more Butts . Can't pass up the $0.99lbs sale on them so 5 butts will be going on the smoker Sunday.

Thought I cooked a lot for me and the wife...... It is hard to pass up on good deals. I had too today when I was at the store. They had $.99 a lb for pork shoulders. We were still running errands and did not have a way to keep cold. But I may go back later this week and take the cooler and stock up for a big cook with the kids next weekend.

Looks like you will have a little leftovers for some easy meals later :biggrin:
 
I have 2 racks or ribsin the MES now, so the Foiling Juice will be flowing soon...JJ
 
Got 5 butts and the brisket all rub down for the night ready for the smoker as soon as the sun comes up

Smoked 5 butts Sunday. 2 for us, 2 for some friends of my wife, one going to my daughter at college.

and smoked a Brisket.

started the coals at 4:30 AM


Used two smokers for all the meat. Here is the Brisket and two butts.



Here the Ribeyes ready for the grill. Just put them in the side fire box to grill.

Chef JJ sent me a recipe to try on pork, "chef JJ Apple Pork Topper" .
