I'm New At The Art Of Smoking But Look Foward To Learning How To Do It Up Right!! I Have A Perfect Flame Vertical Gas Smoker ( A Gift From My Wife ) I Am A Dispatcher For 50 Truck!! That Sure Keeps Me Busy. I Look Foward To Learning How To Smoke With All The Smokers Of The World Its The Best Food !!

Welcome to SMF KY...nice to chat a few ago... and here's a mop for yer butt:
5 cup cider vinegar
.5 cup bourbon
A small amount of water
1 Tbsp onion powder
2 Tbsp brown sugar
1 Tbsp Kosher
1 Tbsp CBP
1 Tbsp Smitty's or...crushed red pepper
1 Tbsp butter

You can use it for a "finishing sauce" as well... just save the drippings...<put a pan under the butt> and de-fat..and add that back into the remaining mop. Squirt a bit on the pulled meat and ENJOY! No goopy BBQ sauce required!

Also, SoFlaQer has an excellent finishing sauce... search that name if you'd like...I recommend it too!

Yep, got it last month and I have already ran a pork loin, chicken breats and last Sunday di my first rack of ribs. All went well and I will post pics of my first butt I am planning on doing next weekend.
